Bagac, Bataan: Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar

Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar is a heritage park in Bagac, Bataan.  It features several Spanish colonial houses reminiscent of the 18th-19th century. The owner Mr. Gerry Acuzar would buy these "bahay na bato" from all over the country and transport them piece by piece to Bagac. While many History advocates shun what Mr. Acuzar has done [as they believe these houses should just rot in their original location], I personally feel Mr. Acuzar has done a great job of restoring these houses to its splendor. I have seen Spanish colonial houses in different parts of the country and many of them are in decrepit states. The only ones that one can probably appreciate in their originallocations are those found in the four heritage towns of Pila, Vigan, Taal and Talisay.
